IHHT is described as cell training that increases the number of active and more efficient mitochondria in the cells. IHHT not only leads to an increase in cell energy, it also improves stress resistance and the organism’s ability to regenerate, and stimulates the immune system.

Oxygen is life

Oxygen is the fundamental prerequisite for producing the energy required for cell metabolism. If sufficient oxygen is available for the cells they can produce 19 times more ATP (energy) from sugar compared to simple fermentation. This high cell energy is vital for us. It is not just important for our wellbeing and performance capability, it is also essential for all metabolic processes and for cell regeneration – and thus for maintaining health and for healing.

Oygen deficiency in the cells is therefore one of the most important causes of chronic illnesses, from fatigue syndrome to cancer. The effect of IHHT is comparable to high-altitude training (up to 6,500 metres). By switching between hypoxia and hyperoxia it is actually considerably more efficient than real high-altitude training.

A fitness studio for the cells

You lie or sit completely relaxed on a couch or in a massage chair while you breathe in differing concentrations of oxygen via a mask – without effort or shortness of breath.

This change between low and high oxygen content (hypoxia to hyperoxia) exerts stress on the mitochondria, leading to the death of badly damaged mitochondria. Less damaged mitochondria regenerate and multiply as a result of the IHHT. In addition, the cells’ oxygen absorption capacity is improved, further raising cell energy levels.

IHHT is ideally supplemented with sports activities. IHHT actually has some advantages compared to sport:

Unlike sport, the body does not become over-acidic (no formation of lactic acid). On the contrary, as a result of the second phase of IHHT, during which higher oxygen concentrations are breathed in (hyperoxia), H+ ions in the extracellular matrix combine with oxygen to form water (H2O). The concentration of H+ ions corresponds to the level of acidity, so IHHT brings about very effective de-acidification – of very great benefit for many chronic illnesses.

IHHT is not hard work. It can also be carried out when sport is impossible (e.g. due to fatigue or pain).


Prostacyclin is formed in the body when oxygen is administered via a vein, with many extremely positive effects on the body. Particular worthy of mention are the improvement of the circulation, the inhibition of inflammation, stimulation of the immune system, and the improvement of metabolic processes.

The effects of intravenous oxygen therapy:

Stimulation of the circulation due to dilation (expansion) of the blood vessels: e.g. after a heart attack or stroke, in the case of tinnitus, dizziness, memory problems, sudden deafness, dry macular degeneration, etc.

Ozone-oxygen therapy

The combination of oxygen (O2) and the particularly energy-rich ozone (O3) has an inhibiting effect on pathogens (bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites) and is anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving and stimulates the circulation. Ozone-oxygen therapy can be used systemically as ‘major autohaemotherapy’, or as a gas application to wounds or in the intestines.

Ozone-oxygen has been used medically for more than 150 years.

In addition to its toxic effect on, for example, viruses and bacteria, ozone can improve the functioning of red blood cells:

Firstly, ozone-oxygen therapy promotes their flexibility and plasticity – leading to an improvement in blood circulation, particularly in poorly perfused tissues. In addition, the red blood cells can more easily pass on oxygen to the tissues. Furthermore, ozone also excites the white blood cells of the immune system, strengthening the body’s own defensive ability.

Ozone-oxygen therapy is a mild stimulation therapy with a slight oxidative effect which improves the anti-oxidative capacities that are very important for the integrity and regeneration of healthy cells. This is why we carry out, for example, a series of ozone-oxygen therapies before chemotherapy or radiotherapy (strongly oxidative cell-destroying therapies) in order to protect healthy cells and reduce side effects.

We use ozone-oxygen therapy

or Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infections

as a preventative anti-aging ‘oxygen treatment’

For major autohaemotherapy about 200 ml of blood is taken from a vein, placed in a vacuum flask to which the ozone-oxygen mixture is added, and then reinfused.

The ozone-oxygen mixture can also be insufflated in the intestines. Whereby the system takes it up so that it has a similar effect to the major autohaemotherapy. This therapy is very effective in the case of chronic inflammatory intestinal disorders.
